Message to Guests

We are so excited to celebrate our upcoming nuptials with you! Of course, this is Round 2 for us; however, this celebration will be the wedding that we never had a chance to have. If you have followed our story, you will know that we did everything backwards, from welcoming our first born, to buying our first home, and then to tying the knot in 2016. So, as you can imagine, we had to be realistic for our pockets at the time. You all have been a very important part of our journey. That is why we are ecstatic to have you join us for the real shindig. Follow us to Cancún, México to witness us proclaim our love yet again!

Requirements for Travel

If you’d like to join us in Cancún, there is some important information you must know in preparation for travel.

The Resort

• Although guests have been invited to Cancún to join us for our wedding, this will also be a vacation for you! We will be hosting our ceremony at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres, an all-inclusive, five-star resort. That means, once you get to your destination, you will have unlimited food, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), numerous on-site restaurants, infinity pools, excursions, and so many more amenities! There is also a spa, golf resort, and nearby explorations. Though, these activities may have an additional fee.

• It is important to note that this resort is dedicated to mostly adults. However, it is split, with a section for adults only (18+) and a section that is family-friendly.

• This resort is located about 40 minutes from the Cancun International Airport. You will have the option to purchase an airport transfer at the time of reserving your room.

Booking Your Room

• We have a flexible booking agreement with the resort, which means we will not be reserving room blocks. It is important that you reserve your room soon in order to ensure availability for your stay.

• This resort requires a minimum stay of three nights; however, you can stay for as long as you like above that minimum.

• A small deposit secures your reservation! All you need is a $150-per-person deposit to hold your reservation. You will then be able to make payments at any time up until 65 days prior to your departure.

• When reserving your room, if you would like to stay in the adults-only section, you will need to book the Elegance Club. 

• If you will be staying with children, you will need to reserve a room that is not specified as the Elegance Club. Please note that if your reservation is for the family-friendly section of the resort, you will not have access to the adults-only section.

• You will have the flexibility to change your room reservation so long as your desired dates and rooms are available. Please note, rates are subjected to change and additional fees may apply when making modifications to your existing reservation. 

• You will be able to reserve your room, make payments, and change your reservation at any time all on this site! When you are ready, your reservation can be made here.

Passports

In order to attend our wedding, all guests (including children) will be required to obtain a passport prior to travel. As of April 2022, estimated timelines to receive a passport after mailing your application is 8-11 weeks. However, this timeline is subject to change. Please plan accordingly. Flights

All guests will be responsible for securing their own flights. You can choose any flight and airline you’d like. I would recommend searching websites like Expedia, Priceline, and Kayak for flights in advance of booking a flight in order to get an estimate of total costs. I would also recommend downloading Hopper on your cellphone. Hopper is a free app that continuously searches for ideal flight prices and times to book for your desired travel dates.

Common Courtesies

You all are very important to us, and we would love to celebrate with you! So, please keep in mind the below courtesies to help in our planning:

• Our ceremony will be on December 8, 2023 and will promptly begin at 5pm. We want to ensure that all guests will be able to join us, so when planning your travel, please give yourself adequate time to arrive and check-in at the hotel. You may also want to settle in and explore the resort prior to the ceremony. I would recommend arriving at least one day prior to the ceremony; however, it is not required.

• We are not holding any rooms in a room block. So, please reserve your room as soon as possible to ensure availability for your stay. Only a $150-per-person deposit is required to reserve your room.

• If you are unable to secure your stay at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres but you would still like to attend the wedding, you will be required to purchase a day pass in order to enter the resort. You will be able to enter from 9am until the close of the reception. The fee for a day pass costs anywhere from $100-$150 per person. However, fees are subject to change.
